Butterfly Mosaic

WALT: Create a mosaic picture using pastel and Indian ink.

I learned...  that I needed to cover all the white bits with the pastel to make it more interesting.

Next time I will...  Press harder with the pastel and add more detail to my work.

My Mihi

WALT: introduce ourselves in Maori

I learned to pronounce words correctly

I achieved my goal because I learned how to say my Mihi without any help

My best sentence is Ko Miss Brennan toku kaiako and Ko Mrs Trotter toku tumuaki

My next step is to learn my Mihi off by heart

I learned to understand the meaning of the text.

I achieved my goal because I have learned to understand the meaning of the text daily.

ANZAC Writing

Walt: Retell the story of ANZAC day in our own words using description and detail.

I learned that trenches are 2meters deep

I achieved my goal because I used more descriptive words and more adjectives. I also wrote a whole page.

Next time I will try and use three or two page.

On the 25th of April 1915 New Zealand,Australian and British soldiers went to Gallipoli to fight in world war one.Against the Turks.When the New Zealanders and the diggers [Australians] arrived the Turks were in position up on the hills. It went dark while some of the ships and boats were still in the ocean.After a while the ships and boats landed on the beach,but they weren't ready.
